MeasureQuick is Coming Soon!
Tick-Tock….. 3 weeks until the first release of (mQ) MeasureQuick A/C, and yes for those of you that know Stephen Rardon, this might also be the day that his head explodes!
The team has been burning the midnight oil for 9 months, building the next generation of HVAC diagnostic, performance, and reporting software. To be honest, we are chomping at the bit to talk about it! This engineered solution is a “smart solution” which gathers and uses measurements in the app and the cloud. MeasureQuick A/C is about to knock your socks off with unprecedented features and performance. The breadth and depth will impress you.
MeasureQuick is a “universal software” meaning it will work with all smart devices that partner with us and open their API to allow for Bluetooth or app-to-app communication into the MeasureQuick platform. We currently support Testo, Redfish, BluVac (AccuTools), and yes, iManifold, just to name a few.
MeasureQuick provides “just-in-time education” to the technician with detailed help screens about every measurement and calculation that MeasureQuick makes. The software offers recommendations and suggestions to optimize performance, equipment setup, and assists with diagnosing problems that plague HVAC technicians.
The below screenshots give you a taste of the direction we are heading. While mQ will have both free and paid versions, the standalone free version will do more than any other commercially available diagnostic software.
The free version launches in about 3 weeks; the ability to connect a limited number of tools will follow shortly thereafter. The BluVac+ Professional vacuum guage will work with mQ A/C in the initial release.
Bryan over at the HVAC School is releasing a 45-50 minute podcast on Friday revealing even more features. Listen in for more details.
Add site photos and information
Add detailed information in the cloud so it is available at the jobsite upon arrival.
The Non-Invasive Test Mode displays where the pressures would be and is automatically activated when pressure probes are not attached or reading zero.
When pressure probes are attached, the real needles overlay the target and the targets fade away.
General system information is selected on the information page for quick configuration.
Advanced information can be input (by hand) to provide detailed and accurate performance calculations
Outdoor vitals are shown in one simple easy to understand display.
Advanced information is shown on a second page.
Indoor vitals that drive capacity and airflow calculations.
Advanced indoor information.
Capacity calculations with optimal ranges.
Efficiency calculations and fan watt draw.
Environmental conditions that drive performance.
Multiple test modes for air conditioning, electrical and evacuation. More features coming soon!
Evacuation is built into the application.

Just waiting
This looks awesome I can’t wait. Please keep me informed about this product. Thanks
Looks awesome.
Looks great let me know when it releases
The results tab is awesome! And being able to pair with multiple brands of smart devices is a stroke of genius!
Very excited about the release of this app. Great work!
It looks geared specifically for HVAC, does it also support the refrigeration industry?
Yes, it will support refrigeration. MeasrureQUICK is a universal measurement platform. We are simply starting with air conditioning due to popularity. We plan on adding refrigeration, gas heating, heat pumps, electrical and more.
What devices have you been testing the app on? Ipad, tablet, phone or all of them? Just wondering what kind of battery drain we might encounter. I have noticed what I consider relatively high consumption from the Testo smart probe app and that app has nothing on this one. Looking forward to its release.
Almost every BT app will have about the same consumption. The big draw is the screen on the device. The radio and the app have little to do with it believe it or not. We are testing with Testo, BluVac, Redfish, and iManifold at the moment.
I’ll add we are testing the application on iPhones, iPods, and Android devices.
Thank you.
Will there be the option of downloading the report to save and email as well. Looking forward to its debut.
Saving the report and emailing will be part of the basic features.
Do I need to switch from fieldpeice to use app ? And what will be the cost of the full range app?
Hopefully, at some point, Fieldpiece will work with MeasureQUICK so you can stay with the brand you prefer. We are still working on the pricing, but it will be very reasonable for what you get I am sure.
I’m really looking forward to trying it. The potential here is possibly industry altering.
This truly looks amazing for the new techs entering the industry and for the seasoned techs. Look forward to checking this out once starting into the field later in September. Glad to see you’re still providing tools to assist the techs in the trades. New to this all, but doing my research and Jim, you seem to be one of the main gurus. Thanks for all the willingness to improve apps and provide all the calculations to make sense with all the measurements we’re all taking and looking at…
Thanks for the feedback, we are all working hard to service the industry that we love.
Just threw some made up numbers into the app to try it out and a couple things stood out. How are we going to enter the information when the tools go live? Would like to be able to navigate the app using the back button on my phone instead of the symbols at the top. Got a target split over 2 million degrees. Is it possible to have a seperate results/report tab. I had to search around to find it. Looks promising so far and I’m pretty sure most of this is already resolved just not released yet. I’ll throw actual data at it later and see if that 2 million degree target split changes.
There is a lot of optimization yet to be made like limits for numbers entered. The numbers from some products will come in live off the tool and constantly update, with others, the data will come in via a capture tool in the application. Either way, it will eliminate fat fingering of information. Right now it is simply a calculator and diagnostic tool. That is the primary reason we feed in some demo data. Garbage in will always equal garbage out. Use the demo data as a starting point.

I had a chance to use it on a real system. I wish this was around back in the late 90’s. It would have possibly saved a lot of headaches and useless arguments. Pretty slick can’t wait for the rest of it to roll out.
Can this system benefit from a gateway that can take Wi-Fi, Blue Tooth, and Zigbe all into the could?
Thanks,
Bill

It could, and in development!

Can this improve take down of data for better SEER calculations?
Thanks,

All of the information will be going to the cloud, and we can currently estimate SEER. As SEER is calculated under a very defined set of conditions it can only be estimated outside of those conditions.
I am a current student at a local tech college kctcs.edu in the HVAC program..i would love to have the opportunity to bring this to the class and educate everyone in the class..anything I can hope for as far as a student can use this..i want to learn everything I can and tools are a big part of understanding the system. help me get this to my classmates.
It’s a free app, so take it to class and give it a try.
Does the measurequick app support using the Sporlan smart tool?
We hope to.
Merry Christmas to me. I was looking to invest in the i manifold when I found the information on this app. I currently have the Testo smart probes and I’m looking forward two testing this product. I’ve been very satisfied witht the results of the smart probes but I was impress with the software of the imanifold. This product will immediately save me 1500 to $1,800 the cost of the I manifold setup. Can’t wait to give it a try thanks guys
