What do I need to get started with a training unit?
A dedicated 120/240V 30-amp circuit and a space that fits the unit through a standard 36-inch ADA-compliant doorway. The unit arrives on locking casters and rolls into position. Your team downloads the free measureQuick app on their phones or tablets, connects Bluetooth probes, and starts diagnosing. The training units don't need additional licensing or software of their own. They are designed to work with measureQuick and work best when paired with Premier Services, and the package is negotiated when the unit is sold.
Which system configurations are available?
The four most popular configurations cover the major residential system types: Heat Pump + Gas Furnace (dual-fuel), Heat Pump + Air Handler (with optional electric heat), Straight Cool + Air Handler (cooling-focused regions), and Heat Pump Mini Split (ductless); other variations are available. Each is built on the T-8020 structural aluminum frame and is compact enough to move between classrooms or training bays.
How are faults simulated?
Each unit includes built-in, switchable faults across refrigerant, airflow, electrical, and condensate systems. Instructors toggle individual faults or combine them for complex scenarios. Examples include suction and liquid line restrictions, low or high refrigerant charge, dirty filters and coils, adjustable static-pressure conditions, open thermostat circuits, and simulated duct leakage. All faults are repeatable and safe to run during class.
Can I use the training unit with the same app my technicians run in the field?
Yes. The unit runs with the standard measureQuick app on iOS or Android. Trainees learn app setup, system profiling, data streaming, and report generation on the same interface they will use on customer calls, and can practice the AI-assisted diagnostics that come with Premier Services. What they practice in the lab transfers directly to the truck.
